We Are the Seeds, an organization founded by a team of Indigenous women who are dedicated to honoring Native arts and cultures as a means to understanding Indigenous peoples, is partnering with Bartram’s Garden and Lenapehoking~Watershed! Come out to Bartram’s Boathouse during River Days to see We Are The Seeds Dance Troupe perform at 12:30pm and experience Native American Storytelling with Tchin at 1:30pm.
Also part of River Days, Bartram’s is offering free fishing from 8:00am to 12 noon at the Boathouse, with poles and lures provided, and BIPOC vendors will sell crafts and art from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Accessibility: The 51st Street entrance is wheelchair accessible, as are bathrooms in the Barn building. As of July 30, 2021, Bartram’s Garden requires that all people wear masks in all of its indoor spaces. To help limit the spread of COVID, please follow the current City of Philadelphia guidelines for visiting an outdoor public space.
Transportation: Bartram’s Garden is located less than 15 minutes from Center City Philadelphia, is convenient to I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) and I-95 and accessible by public transportation. There is parking available in the visitor parking lot. You’re encouraged to walk, bike, or take SEPTA to the Garden during these special events, and throughout the year; the #36 trolley stops at the Bartram’s Garden driveway at 54th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard.
