Nature, Film, and Writing Workshop

Vernon Jordan III is a Philadelphia-based Afrofuturist writer, filmmaker, poet and the Assistant Director of Programs at Cinespeak. His work reflects and expands upon African American memories, dreams, hauntings, queer kinship, and intimate fluidity; his priority is the merging of the visual and the musical; a Visual Lyricist, as it were. Jordan's film See My Dreams Come True has played at over five US-national and international festivals, including Black Star Film Festival. 

For Lenapehoking~Watershed, Jordan is running a 2-day filmmaking workshop in September with community members living near the Berks Nature AWE site  in Reading, PA; inviting participants to commune with nature and translate their experience into writing and film with his guidance.
