Meet Logan Davis, the new farm manager of Trenton’s urban farm oasis, the Capital City Farm. “When not talking about regenerative farming, extended harvest periods, and the importance of fresh vegetables grown under organic guidelines, he likes to cite Senator Cory Booker’s sponsorship of the Justice for Black Farmers Act.” — Trenton Community News

Davis will be leading community harvesting from the Water Spirit straw bale garden installation The Future is Open Ended, from 8:00am to 10:30am. Following a design by Seattle-based artist Sarah Kavage, more than 300 feet of stacked straw bales are constructed in sinuous lines and circles as beds for leafy greens, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, herbs, and onions. If you arrive at 8:00am ready to harvest, you will be able to take home produce as well as learn hands-on how to garden/farm. Farm Tours will start at 10:30am.

This project is created in collaboration with the Tulpehaking Nature Center
