Co-founded/managed by YaYa Horne and Damion Ward, Tiny Room For Elephants (TRFE) is a network of creatives that span the gamut from visual, musical, culinary and healing artists, to dancers, designers and make up/hair artists.

For L~W, TRFE Yaya and Damion engage with the Water Spirit sculpture installation at Heinz Wildlife Refuge:

"Research included hiking the refuge, sitting on benches with Phragmites at our backs and listening to birds and wind and water to best design an experience that would highlight the art, honor the land and entertain visitors. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to bring our mission to life with such a breathtaking backdrop to showcase this awesome collaboration between Sarah Kavage and Mother Nature. Being selected as an Artist in Residence to design an experience around Sarah Kavage’s benches has been a labor of love."

Since its start in 2014, Tiny Room For Elephants has developed many branches to help connect Philadelphians to makers that live, work and play in their own backyard. The name speaks to the larger-than-life presence and talent that is possessed by so many Philadelphia artists and what it would look like to place a number of them in a confined area to simply create. The mission of the network is to work together to build unique and layered experiences for artists, brands and consumers:

TRFE CURATES: An agency pipeline between brands/organizations and undiscovered talent to curate a custom look, feel and experience

TRFE MUSIC SERIES: Documented in-studio experiences designed for up and coming musicians to collaborate, create and record new music

TRFE FESTIVAL: 30 DAY multidisciplinary experience with a highlight on local art and music

TRFE HAPPY HOUR: A virtual weekly series where TRFE crew members get together to talk music, art and current events with their favorite Philly creatives

Tiny Room For Elephants prides itself on providing supportive growth opportunities for creatives in the network; like paying gigs, free space/resources to showcase art/music and access to local/national media exposure.
